I was wondering if a 2 ohm load pushing the same watts rms as a 4 ohm load, is there going to be a difference in loudness? The same speakers in both loads. I know the lower the ohms the more current. ect. But juss was wondering, general question.

The answer is, yes, no, and maybe.

While it is true, lower the impedance (ohms), the more current, the reverse is true for voltage. Lower the impedance, lower the voltage.

The power "watts" is voltage times current. So, in theory, your end result is the same.

What would happen in reality is, lower the ohms, more current your amp will try to deliver. At one point, it will reach a point where it can not deliver any more. At that point, you will reach the highest power, thus loudest. How you get there really depends on the amp you have.

Keep in mind, at this level, it may be loud, but the distortion is so high, it is hardly a pleasurable music.

2 OHMs will push more RMS watts. good for bass producing speakers. if you are worried about distortion try a digital amp.
