It's a long storey, so I won't explain it, but I actually saw this happen to another child. My nephew was playing with this child. I thought it was the child's father, but when the child left with a woman, and the man who hit him stayed behind, I realised with horror that this man hit a complete strangers child.

wow that happened to me while we were at the Newport Aquarium a lady grabbed my little girl arm and talked to her like she was 2 (she is 7) because the lady thought my daughter was trying to cut line in the bathroom! I left the bathroom to keep from having to kill the lady in front of my kid. But i looked for her I was so mad that I was going to grab her fuzzy hair and pop her neck! Now I know that it is bad for me to actually want to kill someone but......I did that day and would have if I had seen her again after we left the restroom. If you know the kids parents I would talk to them it sounds to me like the child needs to be kept safe from this guy.

He would most likely not be able to walk and/or smell ever again. Plus he would be in jail..and I would be laughing at him as he cried his *** off!I'm sorry but those things anger me, he had no right to hit that child whatsoever. I hope the child was alright! Call the police and report him if you got the license

He still could have been the child's father, just not living or leaving with them. You could have told the mother what you saw and if he wasn't with her called the cops. Right now there is not much you can do.

I don't have a child, but if a stranger hit my child he better be able to do the forrest gump run. Doctors would be picking pieces of my broken hands out of his face.

I might be insane but if it was my child I would have hunted the stranger down, and then severly injured him without killing him (shoot him in his shoulder or foot or balls).....because I would not want to spend a life away from my son in jail, but I would have to teach the man a lesson.

omg... that is INSANE!!! I can't believe that they had such nerve! You never know what kind of person you could turn into until someone messes with your child like that. I know without a doubt I would be turning them over to the police in an instant!

How exactly did you see this occur and the kid's mom did not?

I think that is a larger problem. The stranger will probably never see the kid again. Unfortunately, the mother will continue to not watch the kid until it grows up.

I don't have a child but I think any parent would freak out. Who the heck would go around hitting kids?

i would probably beat the $hit out of them, if someone has a problem with my kid they take it up with me, after all i am responsible for the way my child is, and if one had an issue with him they would have a direct issue with me (not to mention the whole picking on someone your own size thing!)

I would gather up my courage and confront him or her directly. Then I would probably report the case to the police...what if that stranger is a danger to society (or just even to his or her own family)?
