Here's the picture...a woman in her mid forties has started a relationship wiht a much younger guy..mid twenties. She looks very good.. maybe ten yrs yonger. But the guy still has years of college to go while she has a stable job. He seems to really like her and there's loads of chemistry. Do you think there is a future for this couple? She'd like to settle and she's a good person. What if he'd like a child later on? Anyone have experience with this? Are guys often able to pass a woman by because of her age, even if its the love of their life? Especially, I'm interested in how you guys think on this one!

The couple might be able to have a future, but to me the woman would probably feel like she is superior because she is older and has more experience in life. As a guy, I could never see myself dating a woman more than 3 years older than me. Also, If a guy dates a much older woman, the woman may feel that she is raising a child because a guy in his mid-twenties is probably still trying to find a job after college and needs financial support from someone else.

But anyway, a future could be possible for a few years, but not too long term. A woman in her mid-forties is going through menopause, and for a guy in his mid-twenties, this is no fun. At this point the younger guy would start talking to younger women around his own age that can "keep up" with him.

be careful because a guy in his twenties wll love gettng together and having sex with an older woman, but MOST guys want families. Find out what his thinking here is. I know I always went out with much older women because i KNEW I didn't want to have kids. period. Whe this guy is mid 40's..right at probably the height of his career, you will be retirement age. A guy in his 20's is likely to be highly pressured by friends and family not to get involved with a woman 20 years older than himself..and follow their advice.

I would suggest looking more towards a guy maybe in his mid 30's if you like younger guys.

I'm surprised that most of the answers thought the GUY was asking the question????!!!!

Take it from me. I'm 40 and when i told someone I had sex with a 60 year old woman, they told me I was sick, and needed to be locked up!!!

I'm not a guy, but my fiancee is 18 years older than me. The only problems that we have found in each other (age related) is having children. We've been together for over 5 years now, and I'm as happy as can be. I honestly believe that it takes just the right kind of lovers for this to work.

age shouldn't matter, but if she is in her 40's.....she might not want to have kids in 5+ years. You need to ask her what she thinks about having kids. If this is something that is important to you.

I think........you're in college and she is an older woman.
You are just having fun and she isn't really the love of your life.
You have just never had someone who is so wise and its easy to confuse your feelings of lust with love.

Good luck.
Then again........look at Ashton and Demi!!

i guess age doesn't matter anymore, so why not have some fun with the older woman and see how it works out, chances are..it'll be done in less than two years..good luck tho
