What you have is a Stevens single shot. I can't find a 353 listed in my books, though.

Try gunbroker.com first off and search on "stevens single shot" and try to find one that matches yours. Next, try Numrich http://www.e-gunparts.com/model.asp?idDept=241 and see if you can find that one there.

Those old guns are very common. LOTS of them had interchangeable parts. Finding the right one is just a matter of time and effort.

Good luck!

Justin, if you'll post a good clear pic (or email them to me if you'd like) of the sides of the receiver of your weapon, and then one of the barrel attachment pivot and forearm attach point, I'll try to find your parts for you. I love proving JD wrong. ;)

As a Gunsmith I checked a few of my data bases I use for discontinued and out of production parts in my business, for parts for your Riverside Arms 12 gauge. There were 0 (zero) parts available. Since the last production run of this gun was 1952, I'm not surprised. The data base also listed the estimated value at $40 in 95% ccondition. I've covered all the major parts distributors and again nothing. Riverside Arms was a "brand" name for the J.P Stevens Company the predecessor to Savage Arms company that we are all are familiar with today. If the stock is is good shape along with the fore-end there is a market for your parts but not a chance you'll find parts to complete yours.Sorry, I tried......

It appears parts are no longer available for your shotgun. Depending on the part, a real gunsmith could make a part for you. Unless it has a lot of sentimental value, I would just clean it up real good and hang it over the mantel.
