do not go to heaven. I would hope that heaven is just not filled with people, but also with landscapes, mountains, rivers, oceans, and all of the animals we love. I think it would be a boring place without our dearly departed animals, don't you?

I agree. I hope and expect to see my pets when I get there. The Bible never explicitly says there will be animals in heaven. But there are lots of passages, such as Psalm 36.6, Romans 8:19-21, Revelation 5:13, and Luke 3:6 which seem to strongly imply that they will be.

I remember seeing a similar question put to Billy Graham a few years back and liked his answer. He basically said that Heaven is a perfect place, so that whatever is necessary for it to be that way will be there. He also said that he believed animals were there and quoted the line about the lion shall lay down with the lamb.

I read an old native american legend that says that animals are the ones who decide if you go to heaven. The thought is that when you die you reach a bridge that goes from this life to the next, every animal you have ever met is there to decide if you get to pass. I like this view myself.

I suppose it all depends on what you believe, but I agree with you. If our pets aren't in Heaven, then I'm not going!
Pets definately have a soul, no matter the case.

In my mind only animals have souls.People are for the most part nasty,greedy,selfish,cheap,Oh, I could I go on..and on....
I hope where ever animals go I go to that place also.

if you went to heaven you wouldn't need your pets because you would be happy. it sounds all wrong bad and sad from here on Earth but i don't think they go to heaven they probably just... die. it sounds very boring not thinking or dreaming, but who knows? They might...
