I keep having a dream on a daily basis which is making me wake up in tears. My mum died just over 7 years ago and for a few months after she died and the past 2 or 3 weeks i have been having the same dream. I'm calling out to her running towards her but although she acknowledges me its like she is getting pulled further away the closes i get, i am not physically allowed near her, running after her crying calling for her and im not getting close at all. i wake up everytime, in floods of tears. i'm so stressed out because of this and dread going to sleep.. help me please, what does it mean???

I think you are just thinking too much about your recurring dreams. Try not to think about that dream and just keep your mind on something else.. The only way you are dreaming that is because you keep thinking about that.. Try watching something funny before you sleep and try not to think before you sleep

I'm sorry that you have tears towards the end of your dream when you wake up after what you been through. I have those kind of dreams for a long and it doesn't bug me that much as it use to be. What your going through is that you miss your mom very much and that you know you can't live without her in real life right now. Sure, you appear fine and outgoing but inside you...you know that you are falling apart on what happened those years ago...it may be a long time ago, but you have to realize that sometimes there are a couple of things you really can't let go. Such as someone death, losing an important item, and other things you could thing of that seem rather silly and unimportant. All I have to say to you is that, you have to calm your mind when you sleep. Don't run after your mom, if she appears to be going further away whenever you get close to her. Just stand where you are and look at her. Figure out why she is in your dream and what she want. Usually dreams mean something.

You miss her and she knows. She wants to tell you that you should make the best of your life here, and not worry about her. She is watching over you.

Meditate, go out in nature and be alone for a while, think about her, cry if you feel like it, but know that you are not separated from her just because she is not among the living. She lives through you, and she wants you to be well. Don't dwell on the past, look to the future. She'll always be with you.

PS - you have the 6th sense, just look for the positive.

Many find the 7 year a marker year. You are simply grieving her loss. You can't catch your mom, but the pain is catching you.

Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom Creating Physical and Emotional Health and Healing by Christiane Northrup, MD, Bantam Books would be an excellent read for you. I found it extremely helpful in dealing with grief and loss in my life...as have many other women. She includes exercises that help walk you through the processes of connecting with your own inner guidance.

Let the feeling and healing begin. Take time to cry, to remember, to grieve...that's what the dream means.

And to remember: You will always be loved. You will always love. Dreams help us remember this sometimes, even when the distance seems greater than we can bare.

Ah, sweetie ... I think you miss your Mum, and feel that you have a lot to talk to her about, but never got the chance, and wish very very much that this had not been the case, and are finding it very hard to let go of this.

I think it's your subconscious mind trying to tell you it's time to let go, to understand that your Mum is well and truly gone on to the other side, and it's only natural that you would resist this as you miss your Mum.

I really hope this helps, and I'm sending you a big hug in sympathy.

Maybe she's trying to tell you in your dream that she's not able to talk to you anymore.
She may be happy on the other side.
I think this is more something that is coming from the fear part of your brain than anything. It's the way your brain is coming to terms with her being gone....before you go ot bed, try to let your mind go and be open...
Maybe she will come to you or you will have another dream to remedy this one.

Your mum represents nurturing and motherly love, perhaps you are needing this at this moment in your life and only want it from your mum, which you can't physically have - hence her pulling away from you?

Is this a time that is an anniversary of her death? perhaps her birthday?
If so it is just representing your views of your mum and her support which you can't physically have.

I believe are loved ones who have passed over, watch over us and still send their love and support - just in a different way.

This not a hidden meaning sweetheart.

You are missing your Mum. Maybe there is something going on in your life that is a change and you want her advice?...or there is something you want her to know?

I am 53 years old, and I still miss my Dad like this.

It will pass...but you will never forget and your need for her will never disappear.

my mum is a psychologist and she says that if you had a memory that is very 'memorable' were you and your mum had an arguement then that could be playing on your mind so this dream is showing how far away you were from her during this memory...and you subconsciously feel that it may have never been patched up...hope this helped
