There isn't really such a thing as a short sharp crucifixion. That's why they would crucify people instead of beheading them.

let me see a perfect stranger agrees to be lashed open to the bone, then have vinegar poured in it,then carry a 400 lb cross up a steep hill to his execution site mind you while having thorns pushed into his skull and oh yeah the cross presses against his flayed bleeding back, then has iron nails driven through his hands and feet, then is hung up on the aforementioned cross to hang there all day while he suffers until he expires from the agony,WHILE bearing the entire load of every sin commited by every man woman and child ever to walk the face of the Earth and he does all this just for YOU. Nah dude that's nuthin.

The Eternity you spend in Hell will seem like a splinter in your finger compared to the suffering and agony Christ spent hanging on a cross just so YOU wouldn't have to go to Hell.
But what would you know about suffering?
Unless you accept Christ, you WILL find out first hand how much He suffered and exactly what awaits you.
Go ahead,,, you take the splinter...He took the Cross.

I think the point is; that this story tells of a man who is crucified ...by those he has actually come to save. The nastiness of that irony would add to the pain.
In any case, it is not told that it was "short and sharp." Rather, that it was long and drawn out.

actually yes.
there is nothing "short" about crucifixion. it was one of the most punishing deaths.
actually one died from asphixiation more than anything. they hammered nails into your wrists (not hands) and ankles.
the position you are in constricts the lungs so you cannot breathe, the only way to breath is to use your muscles to lift your body WITH THE VERY NAILS THAT ARE STUCK IN YOU to try to breathe.
a healthy person could last for a few days.

the crucifixion wasn't the hardest part about what happened to Christ.. it was the separation for the first and only time in eternity from God the Father

As long as they aren't rusty, dull nails.
Overall, the amount of people killed in the name of one victim of capital punishment is staggering.

Yes, it is a horribly painful death. Have you ever done any reading on it?

you can crucify me
if i get to be in heaven for eternity
christians should feel sorry for the damned souls in hell
they suffer infinitely more than jesus ever did
but they have no sympathy
they just say well its your fault
for not joining my cult
