Saint Dismas (sometimes spelled Dysmas or only Dimas, or even Dumas), also known as the Good Thief or the Penitent Thief, is the apocryphal name given to one of the thieves who was crucified alongside Christ according to the Gospel of Luke 23:39-43:

Gestas, also spelled Gesmas, is the apocryphal name (first appearing in the Gospel of Nicodemus) given to one of the two thieves who was crucified alongside Jesus. Gestas taunted Jesus about not saving himself, while Dismas asked for mercy. Dismas was saved, and Gestas was not.

The Bible does not name the two who were crucified with Jesus. Whilst those crucified with Jesus are mentioned in the Gospels of Mark (15:27) and Matthew (27:44), the fullest account is given by Luke (23:39-43).

The Bible does not tell us the names of these men. Sorry Kerilyn, but Barrabus was the man who was released as a trade to the crowd who called for Christ's death. All 4 gospels mention him as a bandit but Luke 23:18/19 tells us that he was a murderer.

Names were not given.

Which nutcase suggested Barabbas? Pilate let him go to apease the Jews.

Does it really matter, as the whole incident serves to remind us that some of us will repent, whilst the remainder will not!

The bible does not say.

P.S. Barabbas was not one of the thieves. He was the prisoner freed in place of Jesus.
