I think people are just different in this way. My daughter has a great mind and can remember things in detail. I, on the other hand, remember nothing. One day just blends into another sometimes and it is all lovely. If it were something out of the ordinary then I would have a reason to remember. You remember the story of the pastor visiting the little old lady and telling her it is time she start thinking about the "hereafter". She says, "I do all the time no matter where I am. If I am in the kitchen, or the bathroom, or the basement, I always ask myself, 'what am I here after?". Mmm

Yes, but I am over 70 years old. There is no sense in remembering the blank spaces, just fill up the spaces that will happen today and tomorrow.

I forget things but I thought it might be because of my age,and not that big of gaps. Sometimes stress or getting to much on your mind can cause you to forget. No I never try and color them in. There is no need because if you don't remember, you might stay out of some trouble. I believe sometimes our lives can be to busy and we don't take the time to smell the roses ,as they say.
