I applied for a grant online and a rep. from Alliance Consultant called me and explained that they give government grants (I'll never have to pay it back), I have to give them $298.00 and complete and send back forms and questionaires they will mail to me THEN (after 7-8 weeks for processing) if they can only get me a grant for less than $5 thousand then I get my $298 back. [It doesn't make sense to me because if you need a grant then you obviously don't have money so why pay?] Have you heard of Alliance Consultant? Does this sound legit? (I didn't give her any info. I told her I'll think about it and call her back.)

This sounds like a scam. GRANTS do not require processing fees or application fees. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.

Report this fraud to the following address: www.ic3.gov
