I put this in the Religion and Spirituality because that is the only place I generally post, and there is a fairly broad spectrum of people here to answer the question from various viewpoints. Please keep your language respectful whether you agree or not! Thank you!

Gavin - you are full of your own bias and ignorant of what you are talking about.
No Christian ever killed anyone. We strongly believe God's command that "Thou shalt not kill!"

Gavin: I believe I have enough education. I am equally sure you are either a bitter old person or a foolish young person who thinks they know more than those who have experienced life for a much longer time. Your curt remarks show you to be inconsiderate and not worthy of an audience while you display such arrogance.

NO. The Media reports Fairly on Nothing.
I haven't watched TV news or bought a newspaper since having access to the internet. I actually had my eyes opened to the bias on the news media on a personal level several years ago.
My wife and I took part in a PEACEFUL abortion protest at a local hospital on the anniversary of Roe v Wade. It was BITTER cold, and there were busloads of protesters from different churches lining the sidewalk, and there were television cameras present. When we got cold and numb enough to go home, we turned on the TV, AND WE WERE THE LEAD STORY. We were very surprised, to say the least. The television cameras skirted the crowd of protesters, minimized the size of the crowd by what they DIDN'T show, and the news anchor had nothing but sarcastic comments. The final sentence Channel 2 said about us was "Even though the Supreme Court has ruled that a woman has a Constitutional right to an abortion, still, these people think they're being effective."
My eyes were opened. I am a Conservative, Bible believing Christian, and the news media daily attacks and ridicules EVERYTHING I hold dear; therefore; I pay about as much attention to them as they do me. That is to say nothing.

From what I HAVE seen and heard, the news media is the puppet of the Democratic party, which is more concerned with regaining the White House than with National Security. This war IS going to be fought, and if the news media/Democratic party has their way, it is going to be in Chicago and Pennsacola Beach and Los Angelas and San Francisco and Boston and Philadephia, which is where the terrorists would prefer.

It grieves me as an American to see that some folks do not understand that we are in a war for survival-the terrorists want to ANNIHILATE us.

Well to be quite honest, NO! The media always paints a picture that the war is worst than what it really is. I know may brave soldiers that have or will be serving in Iraq and many want to go back and serve more time. See the war isn't a pretty picture, there is lots of deaths but we could argue the same went for the Civil and Revolutionary Wars but they didn't have the media we have today. Yes I believe the war isn't going the way it should be , but to say we have lost the war or that we are losing the war is pure politics and cowardness. The war isn't won yet either but it's mission has succeeded, Sudam is out of power and now it's up to the Iraquies to defend there own country but that doesn't mean for us to cut and run as we must be there to help them just as the French were there to help us during the Revolutionary War.

I think that this war has gotten out of hand and I pray that our troops can come back home to the USA. See, reports on Iraq and Pakistan probably are tainted because of the trust factor. Who can we trust there? So I believe the media reports are from so called allies and such. I think it is another Vietnam. I feel so sick about this war. I am so sorry that the powers that be, how can they sleep at night knowing we are losing this war. That is a heavy weight to carry. God bless them all and our leaders.

I think that we are given what information the government wants us to have. I think that we are getting a glorified report. I also pray that our troops come home every day. I ask that our Father keeps the troops in his loving care and that God will end this war soon and send our young people home, safe and sound. I have a friend who's grandson is there for his third time. I know that our youth are doing what they think is right but so many are just tired and want to come home.I see no end in this war. It reminds me of my generations war.............Vietnam.
