2Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.
2Peter 1:20-21 For YOU know this first, that no prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation. For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.

Jehovah God is the author. He used about 40 human secretaries or scribes to record the inspired Word of Jehovah. "All Scripture is inspired by God," and this includes the writings in the Christian Greek Scriptures along with "the rest of the Scriptures." (2Ti 3:16; 2Pe 3:15, 16) This expression "inspired of God" translated the Greek phrase the-o'pneu-stos, meaning "God-breathed." By 'breathing' on faithful men, God caused his spirit, or active force, to become operative upon them and directed what he wanted recorded, for, as it is written, "prophecy was at no time brought by man's will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit."--2Pe 1:21; John 20:21, 22.

The OT is Bronze Age mythology passed by word of mouth from one nomadic sand-dweller to the next.
The NT is mostly Paul's stuff.
Most of the NT stuff is far too similar to other legends for it to be coincidental.
The Goat Herders' Guide to the Galaxy was compiled by a buncha self-appointed guardians of the faith in the late 300s. Some 'books' were included and some were excluded; the excluded were known as the Apocryphal books.

If Moses wrote the Torah how did he tell of his death and burial?
There were many authors of both the old and new. The old testament is believed to be written by 4 different authors. The new by many others. What is known is the people who are credited with it's writing are NOT the actual authors.

The better question is who edited the text, since there are many authors whose chronicles appear, but church leaders debated for many, many years what to exclude and include...which seems to me more of the politics of those times than divine inspiration.

The Bible has many authors.Unfortunately many of them were murderers-like Moses,David & Paul--which may help explain why the history of the Abrahamic Gods religions histories are all splattered with blood.

Various prophets and kings wrote the old testament (like moses etc.)
The new testament was written by the apostles - Mathew Mark Luke John.
These people were inspired by God - therefore the writings are inspired by God.

Isn't God the author of the Bible? Man simply, through the intercession of the Holy Spirit, put God's will to the written word.
