I'm a Christian (sort of...I believe in many different things, but I'm mostly Christian), and one of my best friends is an atheist. I have friends that are Muslim, Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists and everything in between. It doesn't matter to me...does it matter to you? If so, why?

It doesn't matter what a persons faith is to me. I have friends of different beliefs. However sometimes some of them do get on my nerves such as my one Christian friend talks about god this and god that she was so bad when it came to preaching at one point I stopped talking to her because of it. I don't care if we are talking religion and she brings up god but when my mother died she said well I know you don't want to hear this but god has a plan. She has known forever that I'm an Atheist. Sometimes I think she deliberately does these things because she can't preach to me or I cut her out for awhile. The weird thing is my Jewish, Catholic, and Pagan friends never do that kind of stuff only my Cristian friends. Thats the only thing that counts being friends is great but don't preach to your friends.

This is not really an answer to you question but I just want to point out that you can be sort of a Christian -- you either are or aren't. Now you can believe some good things that Christian also believe but that doesn't make you a Christian.

Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

One of my ex s was a Taoist didn't take her long to see the truth. Everyone has a right to choose doesn't make them bad people just because they are wrong. Now when they get loud mouthed about it then I put on the Armor of God (Cor) and go to war.
God Bless!

I guess that depends on your definition of friends. In the Bible it is spelled out James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. There ae people that I know and that I associate with that are not Christian but I pray for them that my life may be a Testimony to them. As far as trying to be like them I will not. It would be foolish to think you can live in both worlds. One can not satisfy the flesh and Live in the fullness of the Spirit. Besides we are dead to the world, Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. If we are dead to the world how can its attractions hold sway over us?

I am a Muslim. I have friends who are mostly Christian. I am also friends with a married couple who are Bahai's, and I also have a friend who is a Black Hebrew Israelite. We all mutually respect each other and value friendship. We never insult each other.

I'm Wiccan and have friends that are Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, and Agnostic. Not sure if any are atheist.

We sure do have some lively chats!

Let's see...
I myself am Wiccan. My mate is Asatru, my best friend is a Zen Baptist, and others are Catholic, Jehovah's Witness, Agnostic, Jewish, and too many "general pagan" to count.

We celebrate a lot of the holidays and Sabbats together, because we love each other too much to care whether we call it, Samhain or Halloween, Yule or Christmas, whatever.
