I already bought the 60GB version in December, but I have thought about buying the 80GB version just for kicks. I think that people should take advantage of the price drop though. And for the person that said that the PS3 price didn't really drop because the 20GB version was $499 is wrong because the 60GB version costs more money to manufacter and has more features.

I bought it the day before sony announced the price drop (FutureShop had the price drop before Sony announced it). Sadly, the promotion with the 5 free Blue Ray movies wasn't released yet.

I already got one, but sales for PS3 jumped 2800% on Amazon.com after the price drop.

in reality though the price of the Playstation 3 never really dropped. you could have picked up a Playstation 3 20GB model at launch for $499. and with the new 80GB model coming that will sell for $599, i dont see where there was a price drop. Its just marketing tactics.
