I'm helping my mother in law find a dress for our wedding. I have taken her to a few stores but some of the dresses are over priced. She is about 5'2 and a size 16. Does anyone know of any good websites that have nice dresses? She is on a budget and doesn't want to spend more than $150.00. Thank you for your help.

We are going to Jcpenny tonight and now thanks to you, Dillards. I live in Northern Ca - Bay Area so no Lord & Taylor.
We tried David's Bridal and she didnt like anything there.
Thank you all for your help.

have you tried a local consignment shop. i use to work at one and we would those kinds of dresses all the time because the mothers would wear them only once. :) plus it saves a lot.

Katherines is reasonable and specializes in larger sizes also Igigi.com they have beautiful stuff and all plus size. Fashion Bug carries nice dresses in large sizes. I am a military spouse and have to buy a new dress every year for the anual ball. Ross has alot of nice stuff in all sizes and they run less then $75. You can also try Ebay or Craigslist for your area. Good Luck

I was at JC Penny today and they are having a sale. Most stores are having sale right now to get rid of the summer stuff and make room for falla nd back to school.
JC Penny had 60% off and a lot of nice dresses, I am sure you'll find something!
Good luck!

My mom actually just went to Dillards in the women's section (she's 5'3" and a size 18/20) and found a gorgeous dress. Hers cost about $125. Good luck!

Do you live near a Lord and Taylor? They tend to have inexpensive quality dresses.

Have you tried department stores? Macy's? JCPenneys? If you go to Macy's, they might have some good sales and JCPenneys has cheaper clothes. Also, it might not hurt to go to Marshall's or a place like that. You might get lucky!

try these sites:
audreysmotherofthebride.com #1028 and #1031
bridalsassique.com
moncheribridals.com
cachet.com
If she can go to about $300 she has more of a choice, but the first two I gave you there are a few styles there that are beautiful and so inexpensive.
