You should be able to drag and drop the entire folder from its current location to the flash drive. If that's a problem for some reason (thought it should work), you can create a zip file of the entire folder, then it will be wrapped up into a single file, and you can copy the zip file to the flash drive.
If you're on Windows, and you don't have WinZip, just right-click your desired folder, then select "Send To", then "Compressed (zipped) Folder".

yes. there are two methods to use.
1. copy the entire folder in which the files are as a single unit.
2. get a compression program and create one single file by adding all the selected files to the new file. it can be zip, rar, arc etc.
the best one (and above all, it's free) as far as i'm concerned is secure zip. you use the wizard to select from one to ? files to place in the new zip file. it compresses the files automatically, can be encrypted as you need or desire, will be smaller than all the single files would, be a single file which can then be stored to anything, or anywhere you want as long as the media has enough room. and is opened to whatever area or folder you want without losing the original zip file itself. that allows you to create a single file, put it on a cd/dvd/.hdd/flash drive etc. if you choose, you can even make it an executable file to automatically unzip by typing the file name. (you will probably be unable to send the executable in an email without renaming the file extension to something before sending it but renaming it as it was at the other end). you can download it at pkware.com it is a legal copy, licensed and shareable with whoever you want. you can register it online (after unzipping it if you save the download first) and it works even without registering, but since it's free, register it and then go on your merry way.

There is a great shortcut.
To copy a list of items, highlight the first one. Scroll down to the last one, hold down the SHIFT key, and highlight that one. All the items in between your first and last are also selected!
If you want several items, but not a whole list, you can highlight each one by holding down the CTRL key as you click.
And finally, if you want a whole list EXCEPT a member or two, you combine the two methods. Highlight the whole list, (SHIFT key), then hold the CTRL key and click on the one or two you don't want. They'll be deselected.
And if you want everything in a folder, use the Edit menu item, then Select All. (Or CTRL-A)
There are lots of keyboard shortcuts. Google search.

Just right-click on the folder icon and copy, then go to the flashdrive and paste. It may run into one of the files you have already copied and will ask if you want to overwrite. If you have not made any changes to any of the files, click "yes to all."
I don't have all my files protected - just those which contain sensitive, personal information (credit card, SS, etc.). To protect a file, open it, click File Save as. In the Save as screen, click Tools, General Options, You will see a box for "password to open." Better keep a record of your passwords. If you forget them, you will be out of luck.

Yes, simply highlight the folder (right-click it) and select "Copy", then go to your Flash Drive and right-click and select "Paste". Every file will be in the exact same position it was in your folder, and you will have saved yourself a lot of effort.
