How come everytime I have Chinese food for lunch, I always get cotton-mouth afterwards??

It could be your reaction to the mono-sodium glutamate that they use as a flavor enhancer. It gives some people headaches

The restaurants your patronizing put too much MSG in their food!
Use the trick that many Chinese people use when eating Chinese food... if they have a lot of Chinese customers eating there it's usually OK. If you see no-one or mostly non-Chinese customers... find another restaurant.

We guess that it's the MSG, even though our favorite restaurant claims no MSG. The next morning we call it "Chinese hangover".

Chinese food is high in sodium, They cook with soy sauce and if you add more to your food then it makes it even more saltier.

What's cotton mouth .
Is that dryness .
Most likely their oils .

because its FILLED with sodium and monosodium glutamate.
Drink lots of water when you eat it and should be good.
I always feel really full and bloated the next day cause it make me retain water.

i think it is because of the spices??? Where did you eat at?? They could have put MSG in it.
