When they start getting rough, stop. Get up and go into another room. I like to blow on my kitties. Works for everything... biting, trying to get at my food, etc. Just a quick, sharp burst of air in their faceis a great deterrent. In two days, all I had to do was inhale and they would back off.

Try to get him to play with a toy instead. My female cat loves to bite at my hand when I go to pet her. If I don't start petting her when she wants she nips at my fingers. I started playing with her using a toothbrush. She likes to bite at the brush. I found she wasn't getting enough attention which more then likley was why she was biting. However, your kitten is just being playful. He'll probably grow out of it.

Yes, spray bottles andblowing definitly work.
You can also try having a toy handy to put between your arm and the kitten, so the kitten will bite that instead.
I've also heard that if you make a certain sound, the kitten will stop. To make the sound, you have to form your mouth as if you were smiling, and then intake your breath. I've heard that works and it works on my cats, so good luck!!

When my cat starts attacking my hand too hard, I gently take the loose skin on the back of her neck with my other hand and hold her away from the hand she's attacking by the scruff of her neck until she calms down. Sometimes, if she's really going berserk, I'll drop a towel on top of her and wrap her in it until she calms down.

If it really gets on your nerves then get a spray bottle and spray it in it's ear. Or go to the vet and see what's the problem. I wish you a Good Luck!! Have a great day!!!
