A Pitbull can tear the s h i t out of a coyote. I heard of Coyotes killing and eating small dogs. But a Coyote will have a lot of problems with most dogs over 20lbs. A Coyote only weighs 50-60lbs at the most. They would not want to fight, they want an easy meal.

a pit bulls jaws do not have 2000 pound bite force---try like 350. the same as any other dog. the large jaw muscles simply allow the dog to hold on better.
it would depend. coyotes are faster than a pit bull and would run away from it. they are shy and elusive animals, and cannot afford to be injured by getting into a fight.

How much does your husband like coyote meat? I would say it depends on the quality of your dogs and how much bulldog they have in them. One dog will be enough to over power a coyote if you're keeping real working bred APBTs. So if you're keeping three relatively healthy dogs I think they should be fine. uhh.... YEAH! my stepmom had a pitbull, it was a strong thing and it got its HEAD run over. She was fine too. She just got up and began running after the truck again. So... yeah- I'd say a pitbull can take down a coyote. unless maybe it was the alpha male or fmale in a pack... that would be pretty dang hard.

Probably, coyotes are scavangers and are very thin. They are used to dealing with dead things and would be scared by anything that seemed a threat.

coyotes are timid and would run away. they avoid people and others except for food and why would you want to know anyways

Yeah probably. but it shouldn't ever need to because syote are panzy animals that don't really come near other animals or people. now a wolf on the other hand could probably kick a pitbulls butt

I would put my money on the pitbull. It's got about a 2000 lb. per sq. in. bite pressure (same as a crocodile)compared to a coyote's 500 lb. per sq. in. and it out weighs it.

yes theirs a video with about 3-4 pits fighting a tiger pitbulls have about 1800 psi in their jaws and the only animal that can match their jaw strenght is the hyena
