it's irritation mixed with disappointment, which then brings on fatigue at repetition of the discouragement. And if it happens often enough it could build into depression.

I think it's more Fatigue. I've been depressed in the past- and discouragement merely agrivates the condition. -While it's aLOT easier to get discouraged when you're tired in the first place...

I wish you had given us more details about your specific situation. If it lasts longer than two weeks, it is more than fatigue, it may be depression.
