I'm 19 and 5'8", every doctor I've ever been to says I'm quite a few inches taller than the average american woman, what do you think? Is this too tall to guys?

I'm 5'8" - it's a great way to be!

Have never heard a guy say anything bad about it.

I'm 5'6" and wish I was 5'8".

Be proud of who you are. I think tall women are beautiful. My mother was 5'11" and gorgeous!

I know quite a few men shorter than me that love tall women and I know quite a few tall men that think I am just too short for them, so there is someone out there for everyone. You are young, so think about school, college and what you want to do with your future. You have plenty of time to consider relationships and if a man is going to like you or not.

Age, height and weight doesn't matter as you get older you will find that it is the person's personality, principles and values that are far more important than aesthetic looks. Believe me, I have dated the best only to find out they had no heart or soul and were rather quite boring.

Remember the old saying "Beauty is only skin deep" meaning icing on a cake doesn't necessarily make the cake taste good. :0D

Good luck!

It is quite tall. I'm a 16 year old girl, and I'm 5'11". I think it does put off a few guys, but it's not doing too much damage, and I'm quite proud of it.
5'8" sounds like the perfect height to me, because I like being tall, but not taller than boyfriends. Most men are over 5'8".

5'8" is considered tall to many people. I think average for a woman is supposed to be around 5'5". I don't know of any man taller than that thinks 5'8" is too tall.

Sounds like you have a short doctor or he doesn't know that 6' and over is tall. Don't worry about what the doctor said, half the time they don't get enough sleep and say whatever is on top of their head. I think you are an average height.

The average height is 5'5'', so techincally you are taller than most girls. But many guys are taller than 5'8" so I don't think you will have a problem finding a taller guy!!

P.S. Be proud of your height!!! I'm 5'8" also and I stand tall and proud.

Yes, it's tall but don't worry..many other women are that tall. The average height of American women is around 5'5, so you're only a little above. I am sure you wont have a hard time finding a guy because of it though.

5'8" is, in fact, considered tall for girls. Considering the average American girl is only 5'4". But in the other hand, you are still not to tall for guys, as the average guy in the US is 5'9", but In my opinion size doesnt matter. I've seen girls who go out with guys who are shorter than them.... so if the love is there... size does'nt neccesarily have to be... just my opinion ;) (I am 5'"9 too:)

Yes, the average woman is 5'4". Most guys want to be taller than their girlfriend, but most guys are taller than 5'8" anyway so it shouldn't matter.

You're taller than average but not too tall. Lots of athletic guys are taller than 6'2''.
