I hear him through the fence talking backwards. He gives me evil stares when I'm working in the yard. He smokes and has long fingernails and wears sunglasses a lot. Do you think it could be?

I live next door to him too. Only in this case he is old and cripply, and stares at me and my family, he hollers and swears at us. He sits on his porch from dawn to dusk.

He can be everywhere..?

I think the entemology for Satan is "accuser". Your neighbor is different from you but this does not mean he is an upperlevel dark angel after your soul. He may be schitzo, do not engage him in any chats. Remember, good fences make good neighbors. And hanging blessing Hex signs from the Penna Deutsche on your side of the fence won't hurt.

Hi Brian J:
What language was your neighbor speaking backwards? If it was Old Latin, you're in trouble.

I know those evil stares can be frightening coming from behind dark sunglasses and all. Don't look too closely at them, the closer you look the more they scare you. Designer.

Ya know, my Mother smoked, had long fingernails and wore sunglasses a lot too. Do you think she could have been...? It's not likely that your neighbor is the Devil, although he may come to fit your ego's definitions of one. If it is, do you think he's vacationing or slumming it? Did he move up or down? And in this market too.

Ya never know, but your "neighbor" just may be of a low enough mental energy to conduct demonic or evil acts, in your name and behind your back, as a form of expressing his fear of confronting others.

I wonder what kind of an act your neighbor would think you were committing if he knew you were implying to the world that you suspect him as being the Root of all Evil? Is that an act of goodness? Can we trust your definitions on that? You're not trying to trick us into conspiring against others are you? Is this Dubya?

My advise is, try not to covet his stuff, particularly his wife, that never goes well. Nothing worse than a jealous little devil who thinks you've been coveting his wife. …You haven't been coveting his wife have you? After all, it is next door. Does the Devil have any animals?

Have you seen any freshly toiled soil in his backyard? Spits, Stakes, etc., anything smoldering? Maybe he wants to invite you over for a BBQ. An outdoor flaming stake...uh, I mean…steak. Tastefully done of course.

In 1999, Pope John Paul II said: “Rather than a place, hell indicates the state of those who freely and definitively separate themselves from God”.

Over the more rational voice of reason, Pope Benedict the XVI recently re-instated Hell as a "real place", eternal damnation complete with inferno. Maybe the Devil has accepted his invitation and is moving on up. I'd be surprised to find out it was into your neighborhood. You too I bet…

Some people use the actions of others as an excuse to express their own intolerance, anger, resentment, blame, personal judgment, etc. See anything like that around?

In a world where, "What goes around comes around" and "As ye sow, so shall ye reap.", one might do well by doing to others as they would have others do to them. Sounds easy.

Evil acts only occur in the absence of conveying Godly ones. It's our choice. They're not opposite sides of the same coin. One occurs in the absence of conveying the other.

But, we must be personally virtuous enough, and have the personal-responsibility to know the difference and act accordingly. Once we learn to tell the difference and define which way we choose, we're surprised to see where/who our suffering has always come from.

What's on the other side of your house?

He's just a wanna-be. Satan would not be over heard until he was ready for you. This guy's not ready for anything more than a manicure. Think of him like 'Side Show Bob' from The Simpson's; just a guy with evil manners and bad intent. He is mostly of a danger to himself.

I doubt it could be Satan maybe one of his demon minions. I'd bless the house or get the hell out of there. Demons can take any shape and form and can manipulate you. If this guy is not a demon its possible he could be possessed if u believe any of that crap. One way to find out though is say something from the scriptures. like "I shall fear no evil for thine is the kingdom, the glory and the power" See how it/he reacts.

Go with your gut feeling. If you got that creepy feeling that this guy is Satan there's a good chance your right. Gather your spiritual forces and prepare for Holy War.
Start by stealing his mail, cancelling all his credit cards with the stolen information. cancelling his car insurance and registration and reporting him as a drunk driver when he pulls out of his driveway.

He could be afraid of being rejected? Maybe his whole life, he was made fun of? He could have an illness that he feels uncomfortable with anybody knowing about? It's hard to guess. He could be a nice old guy who's scared, but then he could turn out to be that guy on America's Most Wanted. Just be aware of your environment.

Sounds like a man with a bad attitude that has bad grooming habits! Now he may be a demon, but I am thinking he is just a weird neighbor, until you smell dead flesh laying around, be the bigger person and say "hello neighbor" and wave when you see him next!

hmm...ok first get some garlic and hang it around your neck, you need at least 7 cloves for it to work, but the more the better. Next, get a lot of strawberries and smoosh their juices around each entrance of your house, windows, vents, doors, etc. This will protect you if he really is Satan. Now, to find out if he really is Satan you are going have to find some fairy dust, and while your looking for fairy dust go ahead and admit yourself to the local insane asylum

p.s. make sure you tell them what you know.
