A tattoo isn't probably a great thing to get over a scar. especially depending on your job. But anyway, i would so get like a rose of something and the stem could come down and cover it. but i'd say ask your tattoo artist, make sure he's a good one too!

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. Scars fade in time, and you are more likely to get a decent job with a scar on your arm than a big tattoo. I have a HUGE scar on my arm that goes from my elbow to my wrist and is about 2 inches wide. It was bright red to begin with and has now faded to barely noticeable. I wouldn't have the job I have now (paralegal) if i had gotten a tattoo to cover it.
Think twice about getting a tattoo that is so noticeable. The rule of thumb I follow when considering where to place a new tattoo is: put it where I can show it if I want to but be able to hide it when necessary.

Perfect site... tattoofinder.com you can actually email the artists and see what their oppinions are and you can also give them an idea that they can run with... just remember it is a tattoo and they are permamnent so get something you're definately positive you'll want to look at for the rest of your life... I highly recommend avoiding names unless it's a child's name or a parent

you may want to see a tattoo professional about it first. my boyfriend has some bad scarring on his shoulder and was told that only some of it could be tattooed over. the worse parts wouldn't hold the ink.

google 'tattoo pictures' or go to photobucket or flickr and type it in. i really like lotus tattoos. google the meaning behind the lotus tattoo, it would seem to relate to your situation. basically, a lotus starts growing in the mud and muck at the bottom of the pond and pushes its way up through it all to emerge on the surface and blossom. as in....youve been through tough times and have made it through and come out as a better, more beautiful person because of it.
