ok im doing this workout tape called Hip Hop Abs...i know u guys say it on TV...and i do it everyday except on sunday...and it feels like it is working...but really dont see results...i jus want a flat tummy and 164 lbs. i dont have a big tummy its jus that my waist and the upper parts of my abs is the hard part...can u help me?

although you are creating strong ab muscles, you will not be able to see your results until you get rid of the layer of fat on top of them. The only way to do this is with cardio to burn away the fat. Just doing crunches does not make fat around your tummy go away. Think of it this way - when people lose fat (weight) the first place you notice the difference is in the face. When was the last time you saw someone doing cheek crunches? your stomach is the last place you lose fat, so while you may not be overweight, you still need the cardio to show off those awesome abs :)

While I've seen the video on tv, I don't know how the actual workouts are, so it's hard for me to say 100% what you should be doing, but one of the trainers at my gym has told me that doing 100 crunches a day works. The key though is varying the crunches. You can do regular on the back, side to side, twist, bicycle style crunches, as long as you are doing 100. But it's best to do one style each day, to work a different part of your abs (the abs are made up of many muscles)
I don't know how much cardio the video has, but cardio is also vital to weight loss and slimming down. Add about 30-60 minutes of cardio a few times a week to up your calorie and fat burn.

You didn't say how long you'd been doing the workout. Depending on your shape when you began it, it might take many weeks for significant results to show.

To get toned abs you need cardio to burn the fat that covers the stomach muscles and then ab toning exercises to firm up those muscles so they won't jiggle when the fat is gone and they are visible. ☺

Eat a healthy well balanced diet, and keep working out...don't do the same exact workout every day though or your body will get used to it and it'll be less effective. Mix it up to keep your body guessing and you from getting bored.

there this video call 8 minute abs. they are AWESOME! you can find it on youtube. keep using hip hop abs and do the 8 min abs video once a day and you see result! and eat healthy too! eat fruit and veggies and fiber! bran flakes are the BEST! oh yeah, drink plenty of water! and also try dannon activia yogurt, those stuff works! GOOD LUCK!!

You will see results soon. Also try doing 50 crunches everynight. It really helps.

jogging and running are the best ways, anything cardio. Pushups are overrated.
