My cat always wants to drink from my glass and I let her. Is this dangerous or is it okay?
I read cat's spit is different from ours and it might be bad for us.

well think of all the places her tongue goes....her butt, her paws(and the paws go in the litter box), and a cat's mouth has lots and lots of germs and bacteria and i doubt ou want to be drinking that.

We had one who wanted to do that every time he saw an unattended glass, we'd find his head jammed into it drinking.

Put down a decoy glass--fill a mug with water and let him think he's doing something great. I wouldn't want to let him drink out of my glass (just the decoy glass), different spit or not--it's still not sanitary.

i wouldnt recomend it because cats are very clever and one day when you go to school or work or somthin she might get into your cuboard and get her head stuck in the glass. but you could go out and get a special bigger rimmed plastic cup that isnt very big and let her/he drink out of that if you want so no harm to you or her!. also you could b4 you leave each time sort for lock up the cupborad that has all the glasses in it.

I dont think that it is dangerous. Most Diseases that animals (dogs and cats) have are species specific and are only dangerous to other animals.

You drink after the cat? Gross they lick their butts and other stuff. I don't think that is good for you.
