That is a very hard question to answer with the limited info you have provided.
Amex has such a wide variety of cards - regular cards, rewards cards, etc. Cards that have an annual fee, cards that don't. Cards that must be paid in full each month, cards that allow you to carry the balance. Cards for those with stellar credit, cards for those with less than perfect credit.........etc., etc., etc.
Your best bet would be to call Amex and speak with a customer service rep.
If you have less than perfect credit, you might apply for the Delta Skymiles (which has an annual fee) and then convert it into the Blue (which does not have an annual fee)

American Express provides 'charge cards' and 'credit cards'...
A charge card requires you to pay your bill in full each month. It's safer than cash-- plus, you can earn lots of rewards. But it won't allow you to carry a balance from month-to-month. For this reason, you won't pay interest charges-- but you'll have to pay an annual fee. Popular AMEX charge cards include the Preferred Rewards Green Card and Gold Card.
Credit cards, on the other hand, aren't paid in full each month (unless you choose). It's also safer than cash-- and you can earn rewards too. But you'll pay interest when you carry a balance each month. Popular AMEX credit cards include American Express Blue, Blue Cash and Clear cards.
You can find a complete list of all these offers here:

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!
