Take the time to get to know her go especially slow and both of you take turns coming into each others environment. Don't make a drastic move to live near her.

I met a great guy who lived thousands of miles away. I moved. It was a worry, but it is the best thing I ever did. I have been married now for 12 years and it is still getting better.
It will always be a worry though, till you do it and see.
