Details: He ate half a tab of 75m/g of effexor XR. Most of it was on the floor.
I put half a cap of 3%hydrogen peroxide down his throat in hope that he would vomit. He didn't
He's been to the vet twice today. They gave him a pill that should make him better. They also put fluids on his coat to try to relax him. His pupils have been dialated since 10:30pm it's now 3:45 pm the next day. Has anyone had anything like this happen?? IS the hydrogen peroxide and effexor XR and toxic mixture? I only want positive feedback. Please do not call me a bad mother because accidents do happen.

hydrogen peroxide is water with an extra oxygen atom. Don't worry. If the vet were concerned about the effexor he would have administered toxiban. Let the cat sleep it off but keep an eye on him. At this point its just a matter of time. Watch his gums so he doesn't get dehydrated needs fluids to flush the effexor from the kidney and liver.

I think he will be ok..And yes accidents do happen and with our pets we tend to worry alot..I would call the vet and see what they think,,don't worry about calling to much that is what you pay them for..I would think if the vet was worried he would have kept him but to ease your own mind I would call and ask there advice and opinion

Hydrate your cat and watch it carefully. VERY carefully. If the vet didn't say anything for you to do then that's the best you can do. I wish you and your cat luck
