Theres gotta be a place where this is available. I'll update if possible. But this HAS to go WELL over 80 mph. I had a 1983 Corolla that could go 95mph. The needle only went to 85 but I was able to drive the needle well past the marker while driving alongside a friend who was at 95. The 91 Corolla is not an ancient relic. I dont see why people are estimating that it could only hit 80. Like I said my OLDER teeny engined 83 automatic Corolla hit 95 mph. Of course yuour gas mileage is shot at that speed, not to mention that handling and even braking are now an afterthought, but it CAN hot higher speeds. I would guess that it can prob hit 100mph, but thats it.
Ive done 100 (could not hit 102) in a 91 Plymouth Colt.
Hope this helps. I'll edit if I get more info
EDIT: 91 Corolla has either 102 or 130 HP depending on model. Colt that went 100 mph MAX had 92 hp

I had a 1989 Toyota Corolla SR5, which is the two door sporty model, a step down from the GT-S.
It had a 4AF (and a 5 speed) which had a two barrel carb, you probably have the 4AFE which actually makes a little more power. The two and four doors weigh near the same, although the two doors are MUCH more stable at high speed. They have a different body shape and sit a little lower. I had that car up to 120 mph, and it still had a little more in it. cast doubt if you will, but the GT-S got up to about 126 and it has a shorter 5th gear ratio, the SR5 is geared for economy and has very tall gearing. So I bet it could top 130, as far as a four door, if you have an Automatic, probably around 100-110. If you have a five speed and alot of guts, I see no reason you cant get it to at least 115, 120 maybe, but the two doors are more aerodynamic so that may contribute to their top speed.
Oh and so everyone knows, horsepower has LITTLE to do with top speed, its in your gearing and aerodynamic effieciancy.

probably like 80 at most. maybe more, im not sure. i have '92 eclipse. and i havent really pushed it all the way, but it can make it to 60 mph in 4th gear, i hardly ever touch 5th gear. and im pretty sure corollas of that year have smaller engines than my eclipse, so i'd say about 80mph.

Pretty much what ADB said. I did the same thing to my sister's 92 accord. Floored it, one the engine approached redline, popped a hole in the rusted muffler. But she wasn't mad, she liked the new sound of her old car. =D Just bring it in to a muffler shop and they will fix it for ya with a new muffler. If you wanna do it on the cheap on your own, get some muffler tape/repair kit and wrap your muffler/pipe up to stop the noisy leak.

Id say about 90mph its a car with many good points but a fantastic top speed probably wasnt what they considered when it was designed

Fast enough to get a speeding ticket.
Over 200mph if it is dropped out of a plane.

About as fast as you can push it.
It will probably go 100mph but it will be very shaky.
