it may seem childish but everytime i come around them, all joking stops and they give me funny looks and piss me off to no end even when I offer to help like out like I just crawled out of a hole or something. As for my cousins they are alocholics and drug users, something that is not kid friendly.

There is an old saying, "You can’t pick your family."
That means you are stuck with what you have.
Now some people believe that you should always respect your family. Why? I firmly believe that respect is earned and NEVER freely given. If you do not respect these members of your family and you have no love for them and in fact, don’t like them, then why would it be wrong to disassociate yourself?
It is better to be honest and stay clear of them then it would be to placate them by pretending to like them. The truth IS the truth.
I hope this helps.

This is a difficult one because you can see the hurt and resentment in your question. You are not evil, just hurt, something must have happened to make you feel this way. I would pray first and ask God to heal your heart and feelings. You can decide not to see them and then later always make contact with them again. It is difficult sometimes to deal with family members. Try to focus on your wedding and do not make a harsh decisions or say words that you will regret later.

If the reason that you don't want these people in your life anymore is because they've harmed you, treated you badly or are just manipulative or intrusive into your life, then I would agree to cut them out of your future...
But if it's just because they annoy you or something like that, you should really just deal with it. They're family and they probably don't mean to be overbearing with their opinions or annoy you, but care about your best interest.

Family is family. You want to be the best person you can be... right? If so, then accept everyone in your life for who they are... character defects and all. Sure you can avoid these people, but do not cut them out of your life completely. After all, people do change.

No. I'm sure you have reasons for not wanting them in your life. You don't need to justify it to anyone. I've done the same thing with some of my family.

Well, it depends on the situation. You certainly have the right to keep yourself and your children from them. But I think that unless you believe them to be bad influences, you should be kind to them. Obviously though, you have something against them. Congratulations on getting married!

Well... you really should give us a more in-depth reason why you would do that.
So far you are the bad guy.. but if your dad's family really is the evil one.. tell us why.

absolute evil. It is better if you try to mend things with all those family members. Grow up, do not teach your kids this ugly kind of behavior.

Doesn't sound too bad to me.
Sometimes I wish I could say that about my mom (I know, I know, "but, dude, it's your mom!")
Anyway, if your man understands just how nuts these people drive you, then he should accomidate.

I would not say this is evil,, maybe weird.
If these people are toxic to you why not drop them now. Why wait til you are married.
