shortly after starting it (5 days later) part of my right hand went tingly (like its asleep) and now its been 10 days and its still tingly feeling..its frustrating me. I saw my doctor yesterday and she seems unconcerned. I'm worried:-( It interferes with my work and daily life and its just plain uncomfortable. Has anyone else taken this drug and had these kind of side effects? I see its listed as a possible side effect on the label, but other than that, I've had no others. Of course, I'm looking things up on the net and convincing myself I have some horrible disease (yes, I'm stupid!). I need some reassurance and a new doctor apparently.

I take Naproxen for my arthritis and never had a problem. I would get a second opinion and see if it is a mental thing or if there really is a problem. That sensation could mean several things find a new doctor now.

Naproxen sodium is the main ingredient in Aleve, the over the counter pain reliever. If you are allergic to aspirin, you may be having a reaction. Call the pharmacy and your doctor and describe your symptoms. There is a reason for the reaction. It could be nothing - it could be everything. Call a pro before your next dose.
It's not stupid to worry about your health. Get on the phone.

Do you need this every day? It's not that good for you, can cause stomach and/or liver damage and stroke. Some people are allergic to this med (Aleve is OTC) The sypmtoms you are experiencing happened to my husband also, only in his right leg. Then it devepoled into a blood clot/staph infection in his lower leg where he had the muscle problem to begin with. Dr. was wrong for prescribing that because of other meds he takes for atrial fibrillation.
I'd get a second opinion..................regular advil works as anti-inflammatory.....

Naproxen is another name for Alieve, it is just stronger. My mom can't take neither of those because she is allergic to it. She said it makes her feet and hands swell, and also go get tingly. If it is really getting out of hand I suggest you stop taking it.
My doctor had me taking it for pain, and I never had those problems, but it no longer works, so I have stopped taking it.
Yes, it is a side affect and it might get better, but it didn't get better for my mom. If you would like take it for a little bit longer and try exercising your hand, like moving it around in circles to help keep the circulation moving. If it keeps bothering talk to your doctor again.

This drug is awful. Bad for your tummy. A similar one was recalled. It never really worked for me. See this site:
