I'm finally 18 and I decided I'm done with stupid high school boys and want to start dating older guys. I know I don't want to have sex until I'm married. Will this be a problem. If so where so I meet guys I have things in common with? I start college in august, should I wait until then?

College is the perfect place to meet guys. But don't be fooled, just because they are in college and are older than high school guys it doesn't mean they are any more mature. Guys mature slower and later in life than women, that's a fact.
If you want to have good relationships the key is honesty. There will be cute guys galore at college. The key is finding some one attractive that has respect for women and is honest, open and caring. That's the trick.
So don't go for the party guys, club guys or the players. Steer clear from them. Go for guys that seem to have looks AND brains. You'll have lots of different classes with different people in each so you'll have plenty of time to browse around.
Just let guys that are interested in you know that you consider yourself a decent girl, you aren't looking to hop in the sack right off and that you are looking for a respectable guy. It sounds really, really mature - but that's what you want.
Guys may take it like you are being too serious. That's OK - wanting to wait until your'e married to have sex, IS serious.
Don't let anybody talk you out of it, if that's what you want.
This may sound cheesy as well, but get involved in the community...go to church, volunteer, do good stuff like that. You might meet some one special in places where good people usually go.
Good Luck.

Oh honey, wait, wait, wait! Start college. Get used to your new life first. There will be plenty of time to meet men. And, don't worry about where to look. Just do what you love and that's where you'll meet someone who loves the same things. As far as sex is concerned. Tell him up front. That way there won't be any confusion later. Good luck, and enjoy college - I did!

Good for you! Most adults can respect that choice.

Many young men are in a hurry to engage in activity. It isn't because of a parent, brother or friend forcing them to act upon it. It is a natural urge to take the next step in a relationship for a man, so please don't be upset with past boyfriends.

If you are interested in "waiting" you will find the right man who respects that wish. If you want to find that right, respectable man now, I recommend looking at you very own church. This is a community of people who are working at building relationships with God and others and will respect one another in all they do.

You may meet a young man who respects your wishes at college, but the search may not be as easy as it would here at home. People with "like" ideals are found in God's circle.

You can be sure that if you believe that God is preparing you for marriage, you will find that right man and live a joyous life together!

Peace to you always

this will be a problem with any man you date unless he is willing to wait for you.
All men want sex.
Now find one who will wait.
Good luck on your search, weeding them out.
This may take some time..........
