I only have 1 carry on bag.
I have already done the "Online check-in."
I'm leaving from the Salt Lake International Airport.

You're probably OK 30 minutes out - 40 minutes out will be better.

You should be at least 2 hours early for your flight. You might face a long line somewhere. You know how busy the airport is now a days, especially with all the security checks.

At least one hour ahead of time at the airport at 15 minutes if you drove yourself.. BUT remember just because you did your on line check in does not mean you will be allowed on the plane with out your tickets. Put them in your carry on so that you do not forget them. God Speed. One more thing.. make sure you arrive as close to the gate your suppose to leave out on. You do not want to find out you need to run a few miles to the other side of the terminal to catch your flight.

It isn't always that you are flying light that speeds up your wait, it depends on how light everyone else they have to check out is and if they have no snags in line.
Right now the terrorists have been caught many times this last weeks carrying on bomb lookalike materials like phone chargers connected to a block of cheese, so they are going to be slower right now for sure. I would say 3 hours is a safe time to be early for a flight.

At lease 30 minutes early just incase something goes wrong. Better safe than sorry.

if you are going out of the country always give yourself about 4 hrs. the security check in is whats takes up alot of time. ugggghhhhh

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE 2 HOURS EARLY ESSPECIALLY THERE. THAT GIVES YOU ENOUGH TIME 2 GET PREPARED AND SO IF THERE IS A LOT OF SECURITY YOU WILL HAVE TIME. BE THERE 2 HOURS EARLY IT REALLY HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

don't take any chances. Get there 2 hours early and read..sleep...nap....walk around the terminals etc . ..Don't risk losing your seat do to overbooking and get there last minute.

try 3hours its the same as the uk or if one is in a hurry then on your tickets it will tell you on your tickets when one has to check inn
