At the Juvenile Facility I was at a security staff raped five of the girls by threatening to put them in Q.R. (Hole) if they didn't have sex with him. He was fired. But one of the girls he raped went crazy and was sent to the mental Hospital, they didn't know what else to do with her so they sent her to an Adult Facility. She was Traumatized. Don't get me wrong, these were girls over 18, in Oregon Juvenile facilities go up to 25 years of age. But man, rape is just wrong. Isn't it punishment enough. What if she's pregnant with his baby? What should be done?

No they shouldn't be released. They did a crime and still need to serve their sentence. The rapist however needs to lose their job and do jail time as well.
Perhaps the inmate can have their sentence reduced and be sent to a different jail though., and maybe win over some money in court over the rape... That's about it.

Terrible. I strongly believe guards and policemen should serve more than typical citizens do to "abusing the badge" rather than less. The sad truth is, among good police men and guards, a sizable share of law-enforcement consists of over-grown 5th grade bullies.

She shouldn't be released, regardless of why she's "insane", but she surely shouldn't be "tried as an adult" either...she should be given a path out after consistent good behavior as they were juvenile crimes...the guard, in the meantime, should be sentenced.

Since this girl was traumatized by him but now she's the one put under the gun of the "mental insanity" label as an "adult" rather than a juvenile, not to mention, as you said, the pregnancy. I'm not saying she's innocent by any means, but that a majority of her actions would likely have been prevented if the prison guard was kept under control and thus the negative influence not tempting her to make bad decisions.

I would say write senate in Oregon and explain the situation and suggest a bill be passed against acts such as this...and if it passes there, shoot for sending that bill straight to Capitol Hill.
On top of this, try contacting a local news network about the struggle...calling the police may seem like an obvious solution but, trust me, police act much more quickly when their reputation is at stake in the news.

You're doing the right thing...and best luck!

First off she should sue the state, the head of the facility, and the guard. The guard should should be charged with his crimes and sent to an adult prison for a long time. The girls needs to be placed else where so they can receive proper treatment but still serve out their time. That is depending on their crimes. No one should ever have to be treated as animals unless they act like one and I am sure these girls did not.

No, inmates should not be release because they were raped. The rapist should be locked up too! After all, if a person is locked up because they killed someone and they get raped in prison, does that negate his crime? I mean the person he killed is still dead. I am not in any way supporting rape -- it is wrong and the rapist should be put away no matter what his job is. But a criminal is supposed to serve out their time regardless of circumstances.

No, they shouldn't be released. It's like this... If a man rapes a woman and gets locked up for it, then the guard rapes him, does it mean that he has paid for his crime? If you think so, go and ask the woman he raped. Another example, if a woman kidnaps a child and is caught and imprisoned, then raped by a guard, does that mean she has paid for what she has done? No, it means that she has become a victim and that the person who wronged her should pay for his crime the same way she is paying for hers, in prison.

that would be an iffy situation. depends on what the women were in jail for in the first place,, and would have to make sure women didnt start using that somehow as an excuse to get out of jail. they could lie about how they became pregnant. if she is pregnant she will have to decide what she wants to do with the baby, the staff needs to be punished as well not just fired.

He should be tried an, if convicted, sentenced to a long prison term followed by a life of constant parole. This rape, however, has no bearing on the conviction of the victim. She still owes a debt to society.

She is in a mental hospital, and hopefully some parole board will release her, after she gets out of the PSYCH ward!

He was fired! Oh great! But was he charged?

the rapist should be punished for his crime and she will serve the remainder of her sentance. most jails and prisons have medical wings where a baby can be born. although that was a terrible thing to happen to her, she should not be let off for her crimes becuase she was raped.

Nope. She has to serve the time for the crime she commited.

What was done to her was wrong but two wrongs don't make a right.
