If I dance at a moderate pace (not to slow and not super fast), will I loose weight? What should I eat and not eat in order to do so???

And if I dance for an hour, and I eat healthy. Can I just do whatever I want for the rest of the day?? Will I still loose weight?

I also get discouraged when I don't lose weight. What's the best way to keep the weight going down (maybe 1/2 a pound every day), but not so quickly that I get unhealthy.

As long as you're not being a couch potato, you're gonna use up calories. The faster you dance, the more calories you'll use. If you could dance for an hour, and work up a sweat, that's when you're really helping your body. You're doing your cardio for your heart, and you're really burning up those calories. In fact, it would be better to dance hard for 30 minutes, and work up a sweat. The rest of the day you don't have to exercise. But it's always best to move. Cut out desserts (sugar in general), fast food, and soda pop. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. No fried food. Fish like salmon , broiled, (tuna in the can in water is fine and easy), chicken without the skin, and lean meat. No chips, doritos, etc. Good luck! :)

Sorry, one meal and one hour of exercise won't mean anything if you decide to pig out afterwards. Losing/maintaining weight means you have to keep at it. Make sure you eat healthy (meat/proteins, vegetables, fruits, and carbs - breads, pasta, rice etc.). You don't have to eat all of them in one meal, but you can spread them out throughout the day like cereal & fruit for breakfast, sandwich & salad for lunch, chicken/pork/beef with vegetables and carbs for dinner. Yes, you can have dessert, but don't expect to lose any weight or burn any calories if you're a couch potato or computer geek. Get out there and do stuff, sports, walk, swim, dance etc., and have fun while you're at it!

Any change that makes you more active is great, and will help! Eat what you like and can live with, and just make little changes to the portions or choices and try adding a little bit more exercise and you will see progress. It won't be super fast(like 20 lbs. in a month), but you will see progress.
Just do what you can, and try your best!
