I think you are asking about Salt Water Taffy candy. Taffy is a soft candy that is pulled and stretched until it is the consistency desired. This type has a different taste than regular it is popular at fairs and other outings.

It's not salt water tap candy. It's salt water TAFFY. It is a chewy candy that is made in a ton of flavors and is best fresh. Many specialty candy stores make their own flavors. Those found in grocery stores use chemical flavoring and coloring and the taste is similar from one flavor to another. The stores that make their own, and use natural flavors and coloring, can be very tasty.

I think you mean Salt Water Taffy candy. Its found at the beach. Kind of a novelty souvenier type thing. Not really all that great to me, but alot of people like it.
