It's a cat law hardwired into them for all time. They HAVE to find the only rug in the place and to it there.

I swear sometimes I think that's absolutely true, they seem to adhere to it 100% of the time.

That's what cats do, they are selfish and loveable. My cat always throws up on the carpet, but never on the hardwood floors.

Porbably becuz of the softer texture of the carpet-- let it dry-- then it should be easier to pick up and clean off.

Most cats are true champs at the litterbox - when they barf all bets are off.

I have composite floors, easily cleaned, and oriental rugs where those nasty stains don't show too much.

to resolve this problem simply when your cat has a hairball and you hear gagging rush your cat to hardwood, tile, or outside. my cat has learned to do this herself.
