Leviticus 11(9-12)

"These you may eat of all that are in the water: whatever in the water has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers; that you may eat. But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you. They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination. Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales; that shall be an abomination to you."

Are you a Jew living in the time that Moses' Law was in effect for the Isrealites? When reading the bible, you need to ask who, what, why, where and when.....

For us today this book of laws shows God's tender concern for the health, safety and moral purity of His people. As you read Leviticus, you need to look or the principles behind the regulations and take comfort in discoverng that God wants to have a personal relationship with you maked by a loving, grateful obedience to His will.

Today all that is required for salvation is, realization that you have sinned, repentance and acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior. We have it much easier under God's grace instead of Law.

The reason that people are Atheists is because they don't understand God or know Him.

It is unhealthy to eat these particular foods, very harmful to the body. However the purpose of the ceremonial and kosher laws was to give an image of the impurity that is really due to sin and, therefore, of our need for Christ. But when Christ came, the ceremonial law was fulfilled and is not binding on us any more. Therefore all food is permitted, which is found in the book of Acts.

No, you will not go to Hell for eating a lobster. What you eat has nothing whatsoever to do with your eternal salvation. Whether you have asked Jesus for repentance of your sins and have asked him to take charge in your life are the things which determine salvation.

are you really worrying about going to hell for this? i hope this is a joke. the goal of every religion is to worry about loving people and treating them as anyone should be treated. STOP WORRYING ABOUT IF YOU ATE LOBSTER. Start caring about more important things. You only live once. I'm sure God cares more about how you affect people during your lifetime than if you ate lobster.

You won't go to hell for eating lobster, Jesus came to fulfill that law so we aren't held to it, because of who we are we can't keep any of it- like lieing, cheating, adultery, etc. Jesus can wash away all of your sins, so eat, drink and be merry, He loves you even though you mock Him.

no but it's not healthy. eating filthy animals dont' condemn you to hell, just health problems.

God created certain critters to be garbage collectors. vultures, crabs, lobsters etc....none are healthy to eat and they eat roadkill and dead stuff. just like pigs are unhealthy because they dont' sweat and toxins are stored in their flesh.

eat as you will at your own risk. yeah some it is tasty....no argument there.

You are going to hell, but not because you ate lobster.
You quote a law that was given to the nation of Israel.
Are you Jewish?
If not, why are you bothering with it?
You're going to hell because hell is the grave, 6 feet under.
We all go there.
