Yes, you can buy invisible fencing. It gets buried around the border of your yard and your dog wears a special color. When she tries to go across the line, she gets shocked. It's a little mean at first, but most dogs learn very quickly where they can and cannot go.

There are electronic underground fences for dogs that work with collars that will shock the dog when it crosses the boundary. Its not enough to hurt the dog, just enough to make it think twice before trying to cross it again. Also, you don't even need to use the shock collar for more than a month or so because the dog will learn the boundary very fast. My mom's yellow lab had one and doesn't leave the yard even without wearing the collar. However, my black lab/beagle wore the collar and just ran fast over the boundary and the shock didn't phase him. There are also remote shock collars you can buy for $100-200 where you control when to shock the dog. This is excellent to work on recall, but the dog may or may not be confined to the yard through this. I would say the underground fence is your best bet, but unfortunately they are expensive if you have a large yard. My parents paid almost $1000 for theirs to cover the entire acre yard.

Sure, there is invisible fencing.. If you like the idea that your dog isn't really safe.. Other dogs can still come into your yard and attack your dog.. Weird people with bad intentions can come into your yard and steal your dog, and once your dog figures out that it only shocks once, he'll jump the line and will be afraid to come home.. Kids are able to tease your dog and turn him into some neurotic mess cause he can never get to them but they are standing right there on the other side of the invisible line... Get a real fence and protect your dog..

No, No, No. You need to get a small cage and more then 1 dog. Then beat them till they want to kill each other. Invite friends over take bets and collect the money. Don't do this at your house do it at a friends house, because it can be considered illegal. Let your friend take the fall for this. It works every time. The dogs usually don't leave the yard but we beat'em real good if they try.

I have heard of electronic-type fencing. I've never used it, so I can't speak for how effective it is.
