Jeff Burton!!!
He needs to win it, he's sooo deserving and I'm sure he's gonna want to retire in a few more years, and I really want to see him walk away from his career to enjoy the rest of his life knowing he's a champion. Even if he only wins one title his whole career, the man truly deserves it for being a clean driver, and all he's brought to RCR and NASCAR and being a part of the safety advocate team.
Go #31 Jeff Burton!!!

As much as I would love to agree with you about Burton; I sadly have to disagree. If Gordon can not pull of a fifth Championship, the most likely person is Matt Kennseth.

Kennseth is extremely consistent just about everywhere and every single year the Chase has been around, Kennseth has pulled into Homestead with a strong shot at taking the Championship.

Also look for his Teammate Carl Edwards. He is gaining momentum and wants to be the first Driver to win both the Busch and Cup in the same season. Tall order, but it can be done.

Burton made a strong run during the first half of the Chase last year; breaking his winless streak at Dover and making a strong showing early; but in the second half of the Chase fizzled. Burton may have learned his lessons from that and come Charolette we will find out.

I really think that Jimmie is sitting poised to make another strong run for the cup. He has proven he is a threat to win the championship almost every year. He would start off tied for the lead if the chase began right now and has had great cars this year. If not for a couple of cut tires and little bad luck he would be 2nd or 3rd in the standings and possibly have another win or 2. I will tell you that if he doesn't win it I would be VERY happy if Burton won. I'm not sucking up because you like him I'm just saying he is about as classy of a driver as there is and always races people clean.

That would be so sweet to see Jeff Burton as Champion!!
I hope his time is coming, he deserves it.
Not to say that any one else doesn't, but it would be great to see someone who hasn't had a championship win yet.

If Jeff Gordon doesn't win it, it could be Tony Stewart, he usually has a strong finsh the last part of the season. But Denny Hamlin could surprise us all.

I think it would be great if Jeff Burton won but I think it's going to be Hamlin. He sure got hot.

Burton would be cool...just don't count out Jimmie.

Gordon's on a roll this year...everybody else is lucky that there is a chase or it would be Gordon's to lose
