I wouldn't worry to much about it. Just try to meet him in person again and have a good talk. When someone says they are pacing themselves it usually means they are taking things slow or don't want to rush things.

The only comment or piece of advice I have for you is try not to dis the friends of guy you like it's always a bad idea.

I think he is taking it slow. You should give him some breathing room. Leave him alone for awhile and let him come to you if he is interested. If he doesn't email you then don't sweat it. He may be getting over someone himself. You never know. Always try to be friends first. Just wait a few weeks and see if he contacts you. If he doesn't, then find someone else interesting to talk to. Sometimes if you leave them alone for awhile, they may come around and wonder where you been. Let him chase you for a change. Good luck!

He sounds awfully confused himself. You left him out in the cold for years, then suddenly you're into him, and he doesn't know what to do. I suggest that you ask him out on a casual date. Something that's barely even a date. Just coffee or something. Talk honestly with him, maybe flirt a bit. By the end of that date, you'll know what's up, hopefully.

If he is interested and truly wants to "pace" himself, you may be pushing him away by messaging him so much. I know very few guys who don't have the balls to ask a girl out if they're interested. Give him some time to come to you. In the mean time, you're not tied down. . . go out, have fun!

you seem a little aggresive and he seems pretty passive. maybe you should back off with the emails on myspace and see if he does anything. at this point it sounds like you trying to tell him to like you and maybe he doesnt.

It means you should have "paced" yourself drinking and not drank so much. He may not look at you the same now.

it seems like he is immature and playing games.
Find someone who will talk to u not someone who doesnt care if he ever sees u, there is someone out there that will call you back and want to see you--if it hasnt happened in all these years than it want happen at all.

I think that you showed him another side and he's not interested anymore.

Probably not interested because he has other chicks.
