Just be yourself. Maybe have a nice picnic inside your home or her home. Buy all of the foods that she enjoys, including dessert. Have everything set-up, and surprise her. Get a movie that she would like, and enjoy the night. Here's a secret about women. The "good ones" will appreciate the effort and the fact that you thought enough of her to do all of this. Also, listen to her when she talks to on a everyday bases she might be giving you clues as of what she might want to do and then you can get started on a plan.

Not knowing what your budget is here are a few ideas:
Plan a picnic, with a gourmet meal, real dishes and glasses, wine. Hire a local music student to play romantic violin music or sax music during your meal at a comfortable distance away. Slow dance with her right there in the grass under the stars. (meteor showers are the first full week of August).
Plan a scavenger hunt for her with a clue as to her next stop at each location. Except, make each place something that pampers her like a facial at a spa, getting her hair done, have a gift card waiting for her at a store to pick out a new dress. Have her carted around in a limo or nice rented car all day. The last stop is a romantic dinner in which you have prepared (or catered in, or hire a personal chef or a student from a culinary school) complete with candle light and soft music.
Take her on a trip down memory lane to spots that have been significant to your relationship (ask her girlfriends if you can't remember!) and say something about your feelings for her at that time in your relationship. The last stop should either be the place you proposed or the sight of your upcoming wedding where you tell her how excited you are to be her husband start your life together.

First off, how cute are you! That's really sweet that you want to plan a romantic day. Is there something that she's always wanted to do? LIke take a pottery class, or go dancing? Or if she's more adventurous, take a hike and plan a picnic at the top, or a hot air balloon ride. Or suprise her with dancing lessons for your wedding. Maybe go rock climbing or rent a row boats and pack a picnic and go out on the lake for a day. A lot of things do kinda depend on how important money issue is, but just use your imagination and I'm sure you'll think of something. You know her best.

I have found that a womens idea of romance is different than ours. Personal time with you, and lots of it, would be a good start. Such as.... movies, dinner, walk in the park. Some times elegance helps, but not always. Plan one or more of these ideas up front with her, but save 'her' favorite thing to do as the surprise. Cool

Perhaps you can take her on a picnic in the park!
That way, it can be romantic, seeing nature, and enjoying each others' company and eating lunch.
Pack some turkey wraps. They last much longer
than sandwiches. And bring a blanket too.
Breath mints to end off the day and a wonderful kiss. :)

Surprise her at her workplace for lunch carrying flowers, candles, blanket or tablecloth, and picnic lunch you packed for the two of you! Have lunch with the door to her office closed! If she doesn't have such facilities, show up with the flowers and take her out to lunch anyway! If it were me, it wouldn't have to be a big fanfare to please me romantically! It would be enough that you brought flowers and thought enough to surprise me with lunch out! HUGE points would be made! Believe me! If both of you work during lunch, make it that you pick her up after work. Same points would be earned!!! Flowers are a huge part of it to me! Even if there is only a single rose or whatever her favorite flower is!

Take her out to the beach to watch the moonrise. No one watches the moonrise, everyone watches the sunset.
I like the picnic idea too.
Book a night in a cute bed and breakfast near your city/town.
Make her breakfast in bed.

I always wanted to do a romantic scavenger hunt...You can get a friend to help drive him/her around. Pick three things...like a gift for him/her--a watch, shirt, cologne/perfume, jewelry, or something, then a nice dinner, and then have him/her pick up some lingerie for you for a nice after dinner "nightcap". Make up your riddles-dont make them to hard--he /she can go get the first gift, then figure out which restaurant and meet you there, and then go by the mall for the lingerie..you could get him/her a VS giftcard, make them find it and go in the store to pick out something he/she enjoy, etc...you can make it as long or short a scavenger hunt as you like...i just say do the three things and keep it simple and fun.
