Headaches are a symptom of early or mild dehydration. Other symptoms include:
Dry, sticky mouth
Sleepiness or tiredness — children are likely to be less active than usual
Thirst
Decreased urine output — fewer than six wet diapers a day for infants and eight hours or more without urination for older children and teens
Few or no tears when crying
Muscle weakness
Dizziness or lightheadedness

To treat dehydration, drink more water. Avoid coffee, tea and other beverages that contain caffeine, as they may temporarily increase dehydration. Fruit juices and sodas can make diarrhea worse.

Pinch the skin on your arm. If it immediately goes back down you're OK. However, if it stays up, like a tent, then you're dehydrated and need some help fast. If you're to that point then get to a hospital because you need an infusion of fluid. Otherwise just drink a lot of water....nothing with caffeine in it, that will make it worse.
I wish you well.

Yes it certainly does. You should always try to drink plenty of liquid (water preferably) everyday. It is so easy to spend a day not having a single cup of water even if you want to do it...what helped me was having a 1.5 litter bottle with me all the time, or have a container at work by my desk.
Hope this help out.
