i have a Remington Mohawk 600 in 222 i wanted to know does any body else have one and are they very accurate

mine will put 5 shots under half an inch at a hundred yards and 5 shots in two inchs at 300 yards my loads are 25 grains of varget and a 50 grain sierra soft point. i also have one in 308 and it is very accurate to. are they all this accurate

Since I'm a Gunsmith and Gunshop Owner for the last 29 years I think I'm qualified to answer this question. Remington manufactured the Model 600 as a Promotional mid-range rifle that most everone could afford. Remington has always been known for quality construction and utilizing the best state of the art components. I've sold dozens of these rifles over the years both new and used. They keep their resale value and in 90% condition or better are worth about $325. They were manufactured from 1971-1979. I never had any customer complaints and most everone loved these guns. With the exception of the Remington Factory 600 recall of 1975. (The bolt safety mechanism was subject to accidental discharge and was replaced if sent back at no charge to the customer) Most all of these rifles that shot as well as you have had a good quality scope mounted on them.
As you asked are they all like yours, I would answer this way. It isn't the rifle as much as the shooters personal ability to shoot accurately

They are a good, solid, accurate and dependable little carbine length rifle. I bought one in 222 and had it reamed out to accept 223 shells for the simple reason that 223 ammo is very inexpensive and plentiful and I like to plink. I have one in 308 also; scoped. It is a delight to carry and a pleasure to shoot. Remington should think strongly about bringing them back into production as they are an ideal carrying rifle.
