Also please give detail to more major plaaces such as the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. Thank you!

Oh there is so much to do in NYC!
- Go to a Broadway play, right now Wicked is very popular... if you have already picked what play you want to see you should purchase your tickets in advance! If you don't really care then you can go to a place in Time Square in the morning and they will sell you tickets for a play that night at half price, but you get whatever is left over.
- Go shopping in Chinatown and Canal St. there are lots of good knock-offs there.
- Visit the United Nations building. Definitely stop at the gift shop they have very cool things there.
- Go to Battery Park, there are lots of memorials there
- Go to Central Park
- Go to Ellis Island, you can research your ancestors and see when they came to the city
- In my opinion the Statue of Liberty is not worth touring... you will pass it when you are on the boat traveling to Ellis Island and you will have plenty of photo ops on the boat
- If you want to go to the Empire State Building go at night right before it closes when the lines are the shortest plus you can see the city at night and its so beautiful
- You could see a television show tapping. You need to get tickets in advance for it.
- Go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art ( the MET)

Some tourist set a day aside for going to Jones Beach. They visit the usual attactions in Manhattan, then take a day to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean on a sandy beach. To get to Jones Beach take the LIRR Babylon line at Penn Station to Wantagh. At Wantagh, take the bus to Jones Beach.

Do what all the funky people do.... come to brooklyn and hang out for a few days. See all the fashion boutiques and restaurants downtown, the Brooklyn museum, TheBrooklyn Academy of music, prospect park, coney Island. You can even stay cheaply in local vacation rentals... a lot cheaper than manhattan and be where every one wants to go anyway. check out this cute place: http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p166941

Make sure you eat pizza there. New York City has the best pizza in the world. If you like wax museums, then go to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

Take the Rockefeller Center Tour. ...Visit St Patricks Cathedrel...walk up and down Broadway....
