It’s true! I don’t believe they exist. There is no such thing as someone who doesn’t believe in a sovereign god. I don’t care how much evidence you want to provide trying to validate their existence - I cannot believe that any person is a true atheist.

Atheists do not exist. They’re not real. If there were ever a true atheist, they would not invest so much energy in trying to convince themselves and others that God does not exist. The thought of God consumes them.

If someone claims to be an atheist, I think they’re lying. What they’re really trying to say is that God let them down, and they can’t reconcile how a good God allow such evil.

I simply cannot in good conscience believe in atheists.

My question: Do you agree?

What do you mean "atheist"?

2007-07-25 07:27:39 · answer #1 · answered by Peter 3 · 1 0

Precisely. The fact that it is natural instict to believe, to know that there is someone watching, looking after you. What happens is that as their minds become more corrupted they only choose to follow their desires, and live the lifestyle, they have always dreamed of, instead of realising we have a purpose, and that this life is not eternal. Have not they seen the many people who have breathed their last? Do they think this will not happen to them, that their work in this world will be of no benefit to them, unless it is preparing for the afterlife? All the atheists now will come up with sarcastic answers to hide the fact that they cant answer this question.... Just watch them RANT!!!

No I don't agree. I'm agnostic actually. But your argument works both ways - there are no true theists because they spend so much time trying to convince others there is a god so they must not have true faith either. Really a silly argument if you ask me. If the atheists bother you so much maybe you should log off for a bit.

I disagree. I and my family are atheists, not to mention most of my regular YA R&S buds. Let me say something I believe is true that will really piss you off........
There is no such thing as Jesus, as you have heard of. The story of his life was copied from the Egyptian god Horus who's story pre-dates that of Jesus. Horus was born of a virgin and died and rose again, in the mythology. And all of it is based on the stars and the zodiac. Look it up.

Okay, don't believe it....so what? Who cares what you believe? Do you think I live my life wondering what you and others like you believe? You are riduculous. How old are you anyway? And who are you trying to convince? Us....or yourself?

Okay, I just looked at your profile and see you are in your 20s. In that case, you need to do some major growing-up. Your logical concepts are the same as a 12-year-old would have.

Nope. I don't believe in Christians, so I guess it's all fair. After all, Christianity is only thinly disguised Paganism. So really, you don't exist either. Congrats!

Sorry, I had to say it. And I'm a non-theistic Pagan by the way. Even if I did believe in deities, they wouldn't be yours. I'd go for the old Germanic gods, or the Egyptian ones. Much cooler.

Most Atheists think that God never intervened to stop priests from molesting children because God doesn't exist. You feel that He does exist and is just a disgusting deity. Or, what is your explanation.

No, I don't agree. They are well educated and keep us theists on our toes.

Everyone is asking for 'proof' all the time about things, which I DO agree with. They exist and are firm in their beliefs. Though I disagree with what they believe, I do not discredit them as 'non-existant'.

You, my R&S friend, are ridiculous.

There are many theists who become atheists and vice versa - does that mean that their spritual state before was never 'real'?

Its not convincing ourselves that's the problem, convincing others that they shouldn't place absolute faith in something that isn't themselves is where we trip up.

I don't think I've ever been let down by god, least of all because I disbelieve in any god - my life's been pretty good. I've just never thought to attribute it to something I can't see, can't prove, can't know.

How on EARTH do you KNOW what goes on in other people's minds? Because, if you can, wouldn't that be your Satan leading you down the path of pride?

This is good. So, when Tinkerbell was dying in Hook, and Robin Williams began shouting "I DO believe in fairies", they began to exist too, right?

well you are ultimately intitled to believe what you want or what you will that is your right but atheist do exist, Some just would rather not waste their time getting you to understand or grasp a idea. Its a waste of time because you are ultimately going to believe what you want. I don't believe in anything but I'm not going to waste my time saying so.
