I agree with the other answers...unfortunatley, as you probably already know this is NOT a good sign and can mean something is very seriously wrong such as infections, a tumor or cyst or cancer. I personally have witnessed people spend nearly 2,000 on a pet with anibiotics and x-rays etc before they ever even scoped the dog which I urged them to do many times along the way only to find that there was a large tumor that was hard to see up in the sinus cavity when they finally did do it. The dog kept sneezing and had regular nosebleeds...he was a 9 year old golden. Just a some words of caution especially at your dogs age....I hope it is nothing, good luck.

A bloody nose could be serious in dogs, especially a 9yr old Great Dane. I think it is time for a geratric examine by your vet. Run all the bloodwork recommended for these older guys.
A bloody nose may not be too much of a concern for people most of the time, but we don't typically see them in dogs, at least not without a reason.

My vet said that dogs do get allergies and sneeze alot. Because of all the sneezing some blood will come out of their nose, but i would still take him to the vet.

this sounds like an internal problem. It could be as simple as a burst blood vessel in his nose (like we humans get a nosebleed). You may want to take him to the vet to check his lungs if there is more blood. It is very possible that this is a lung-related problem and could get very bad very quickly if you don't catch it right away.

You should take him to the vet right away. he could have inhaled something that injured his throat, lungs, or nose. He should not be sneezing blood.

Take him to the vet immediately.
This could be many things, and the sooner you have it diagnosed the sooner you can start treatment. The longer you wait the harder it will be to treat.
