Eat food high in fiber because it fills you up faster and gives you the energy you need to exercise and burn calories.

Eat slowly because that allows the hormones that inform your body you're full to work better.

Eat smaller bites to slow you down.

Take an apple or orange and actually take the time to peel it/ slice it WHILE you eat it. You get full simply from the energy it takes to go through slicing it specifically (It's more a mental thing than a physical one). Plus, the food itself is healthy.

:-) This really works!

Eat stuff that fills you up, especially fruits and vegtables. I've been eating lots of carrots which are quite filling and still don't have many calories. Apples, yogurt with granola, bananas, oatmeal are all filling and not too high in calories. It isn't really bad to eat every few hours as long as you don't have too many calories each time, some even say this is a healthier way to eat. Drink more water too, it will fill you up faster and sometimes when we are hungary we actually need water.

Well... you could try eating a few small meals a day.
For example... your lunch, split it in half.. and eat the first half at 1 pm and the second half at around 3 pm or 4 pm. Something like that. I heard it helps alot.

But what I do is, I usually drink alot of water, ALOT of water, to keep me full. It's also good if you have a hobby that could distract you from the temptations of food. Listening to music, watching movies, or better, a sport?

Good luck in keeping the food away, hehe :-)

foods high in fiber take longer to digest, so they will make you feel "full" longer.

Also, drink a lot of water... it gives you the sensation of being "full" too.

Eating every 2-3 hours is actually a GOOD habit... it keeps your metabolism up. The reason you can't stop eating that often is because your body is used to getting food regularly, so it's using the calories up faster.

If you want to lose weight, just continue to eat every 2-3 hours, but choose foods that are lower in calories, and have more nutrients to supply your body properly.

i have a similar problem, except i am not overweight and i eat LOTS of fibrous foods but still am not full! ugh!
i would suggest eating lots of protein, fiber, and vegetables/fruits. you need more bulk in your diet to fill up the space!
