I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

It can be helpful, but only in a very minor way meaning don't think you can "cheat" and eat bad things or forgo exercise because you drink black coffee. But it is a stimulant and a diuretic and as such is beneficial to weight management.

Green tea is a better alternative however, besides all the wonderful antioxidants it contains, it helps maintain a level blood sugar which is very helpful.

Some people say coffee makes them more hungry, but for me it is sort of filling. It has zero calories and antioxidants, so actually is healthy in small quantities.
I'd say it's ok. Even under the Weight Watchers plan, it is 0 points.

Well a cup of coffee by itself has zero calories, so it won't affect your diet at all. As for weight loss, it may actually speed it up by a small amount (probably negligible). Caffeine is a stimulant, which would boost your metabolism.

Well actually it is a catch 22...The caffeine speeds up your metabolism activating sugars in you kidneys cause you to not be hungry but the caffeine also causes your body to retain fat..So what I have learned is that if you are loosing weight slowly over a period of time or just maintaining your body weight it is fine but if you are trying to loose weight rapidly or get in shape rapidly then the caffeine isn't helping

I am not sure about the effect of Equal on weight loss since I read some conflciting reports. Black coffed without sugar or equal is of zero calories and the only effect is from the caffeine content. May not adversely affect your weight loss program.

I actually read in my Cooking Light magazine that coffee can speed up your metabolism so you burn more calories. I've been drinking coffee for two years every morning now and I've stayed thin.

If you are follwing an excercise program, coffee actually reduces muscle aches. It also gets your metabolism revved in the mornings. I do find although, that too much revving makes me hungry earlier in the day than I should be.
