Just relax. Try to realize that the most dangerous thing about flying is driving to and from the airports. If you take a beginner's course about how an airplane flies and the double and triple systems involved in their structure, you will lose your fear of flying.
I wish you a comfortable and enjoyable flight.

Your chances of being involved in an aircraft accident are about 1 in 11 million. On the other hand, your chances of being killed in an automobile accident are 1 in 5000. Statistically, you are at far greater risk driving to the airport than getting on an airplane. However, the perception is that you have more control over your fate when you are in your car than as a passenger traveling on an airplane. Experience shows otherwise, considering that over 50,000 people are killed on the highways every year. Media coverage would suggest that airline crashes happen every day. Studies have shown one would have to fly once a day every day for over 15,000 years in order to statistically be involved in an aircraft accident"
Flying is very very safe. Don’t worry about terrorists that is the least likely thing to go wrong on a commercial flight in the US these days. Flying in the United States is very safe, there has not been a major airline crash in the US since November of 2001! That is a long time for no major crashes and only on fatality in the last seven years for the Major Airlines in the US.
Even when there is a problem on an airplane, if an engine fails on takeoff or an engine fire etc.. 99% of the time the plane lands safely. Planes these days are amazing piece of technology and the pilots are trained better than ever. If you not afraid to drive in a car you should not be afraid to fly in a plane.
Just sit back relax and try to enjoy the flight. Its one of the safest things you can do much safer than driving a car, walking down the street, or even sleeping in your house. More people have died on North American highways in the year 2006 than the amount of people who have died in powered flight aviation whole 104 year history!
Also the best way to completely get over your fears is go to you local General aviation airport and take flying lessons! Once you fly in a small airplane a few times and learn that airplanes fly and that’s all they do you will be much more confident with flying on commercial planes. You will learn a lot with a few flying lessons. I could even teach you a lot by just showing you my Microsoft Flight Simulator. Flying is a great experience, once you get used to it and learn what makes airplanes fly etc.. your fears go away trust me, I used to be a little bit scared to fly too. Now I LOVE it.

You say "everytime" you get on an airplane... obviously you haven't done it yet. It's a feeling, not an impending reality. Take deep breaths and make an attempt to relax. A lot of people take dramamine before flying. Try it. It might help the nauseous feeling and make you sleepy, which would be a bonus for you

I think the trick is to relax. Tell yourself that it is going to an enjoyable flight. Focus your attention on something else like observing the people around you. Bring Ipod or Mp3. Listen to your favourite music and imagine that you are somewhere else. Close your eyes and before you know it you might be dozing off.
In addition, airplanes now comes with a lot of other entertainment system like personal Tv Screen that plays non-stop selection of movies, and music. Next time when you fly, choose a better airline that provides services like this.
I'll assure you that before you know it you are aleady at your destination and you might even dread to leave the airplane.
Good luck and I wish you a pleasant flight.

maybe you puke cuz you have air sickness (like motion sickness) you can get medication or patch for that. As for your fear of flying. Keep telling yourself.. you have a much higher chance of a dieing from a car crash than an air crash..also take music, things to keep you occupied. also stay up late before your flight so you are tired and sleep on the plane. 1000's of planes in the air each day and nothing rarely happens.

Don't be scared, I'm a Air Stewardess for MyTravel Airways and I deal with people who have a fear of flying, like you, all the time. I reccomend to sit at the Isle seat so you wont see whats going on out of the window, just relax, take a Ipod or Mp3 player with you and relax, if you feel like you are going to be sick just take deep, slow breaths and I'm sure you'll be fine. Enjoy your flight and Don't be scared!

I don't like flying much myself. I also get sick in cars, on boats, on a bus and even trains. I find that if I am prepared to get sick, I usually don't. Sometimes the fear of getting sick makes you sick. So, bring your own plastic bag, a paper bag to hide the plastic bag in (no one wants to see it, even you.), wet wipes and Kleenex to clean up, breath mints and bottled water. Plus, take Dramamine, or something similar, get those ear patches from your doctor, wear those wrist band things, bring your Ipod, a neck pillow, a sleeping mask, lip balm, eye drops, nose spray, and hand lotion (love those little Burt's Bees tins). The air is so dry on the plane it makes you miserable and gives you a headache, making you feel sicker.
